1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser and sent with relevant requests. Local storage keeps preference data in your browser but is not automatically sent to the website. We use both where described below.

2. WPBA language and currency preferences

• wpba.locale: a first-party preference cookie lasting up to one year, and a matching local-storage value, used to show the selected interface language and correct text direction.
• wpba.currency: a first-party local-storage value retained until you clear it, used to remember your selected display currency.
• Administrative interface preferences, such as whether a sidebar is open, may be stored for up to seven days where that interface is used.

3. Account and security storage

When you sign in, essential authentication cookies or browser storage maintain your session, protect access to member or administrator pages and support account security. Their duration depends on the session and renewal settings. Disabling them can prevent sign-in and protected features from working.

4. Google Maps

The interactive member-location map loads Google Maps only on pages where it appears. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and map interactions, and may set or read its own storage under its policies. You can avoid this transfer by not opening or interacting with the map page.

5. Stripe checkout

Stripe technology is loaded when you start a membership, course, webinar, event or other payment checkout. Stripe may use cookies or similar technology for payment processing, fraud prevention, security and regulatory compliance under its own policies. These technologies are necessary to complete the requested payment.

6. Analytics and advertising

WPBA does not currently place advertising cookies or optional analytics cookies through this website. If that changes, this policy and, where required, the consent choices will be updated before those technologies are used.

7. Your choices

You can delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential session storage may stop account and payment functions. Clearing preference storage resets your language and currency choices. Third-party controls may also be available from Google and Stripe.

We may update this policy when technologies, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies this draft version.
